A day in the life of an Accounts Manager
by Alexandra Hull

During my school years I always enjoyed maths and the sciences. After finishing my A levels, I looked into accountancy and decided that it was definitely the right career path for me – and it still is.

As an ATT qualified and ‘CMI’ Chartered Manager I undertake a wide mix of numerical duties resulting in no two number-crunching days ever being the same. Processing data into our finance and other systems, maintaining ledgers in tip top condition, month end routines, preparing reports and bank related responsibilities are just a few of the many tasks that fill my days.

If I had to choose a favourite aspect of my role it would be preparing reports and finding ways to get maximum efficiency out of processes, but overall working at fusion is great. Our open plan office encourages team bonding within a super friendly team. This; coupled with a role where there is always a mix of activities going on; topped up by the rush and adrenaline to meet a vast amount of deadlines all comes together to create a stimulating work environment.
